ELECTRONICS LABORATORY
Electronics has invaded all spheres of our life, be it home or the office. State-of-Art facilities have been developed to keep the Railway Engineers abreast with the latest technology. A large number of experiments showing application of Electronics in Railway working have been set up. Training kits to explain working of rectifier, chopper, inverter and drives have been developed. Training kits of different microprocessors are also available for conducting practical on fundamentals of microprocessors. The demonstration kits have been developed to explain the practical applications of the PWM controllers, IGBT based regulators, coach inverters, LEM sensors used on AC coaches and locomotives. Trainee officers are encouraged to develop useful projects making use of microprocessors and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). Testing of Semiconductor Devices using Multimeter.
